Privacy Policy for FrugalFlow

FrugalFlow (“the App”) is a personal budget tracking application built with a strict commitment to user privacy. This policy explains our “offline-first” approach and how your data is protected.

1. Data Collection and Storage

FrugalFlow does not collect, store, or transmit any financial or personal data to the developer or any third-party servers.

• Offline-First: All information entered into the App (transactions, categories, accounts) is stored exclusively and securely on your local device.
• The App does not require you to create a user account.

2. Data Synchronization and Backups

The App gives you complete control over your data through backup and synchronization options, strictly at your explicit request:

• WebDAV / Self-Hosted Synchronization: If you choose to enable cloud synchronization via Nextcloud or a custom WebDAV server, your data is transmitted directly between your device and your chosen server.
• The developer has absolutely no access to your financial data, backup files, or authentication credentials for these services.

3. Network Permissions

FrugalFlow is designed to be fully functional offline. Internet connection (network permissions) is initiated and used exclusively for:

• Performing cloud synchronization or backups (only if you have actively configured a WebDAV server).
• Processing voluntary in-app donations through Google Play.

4. No Tracking & Analytics

Your privacy is guaranteed by design. FrugalFlow:

• DOES NOT use any analytics SDKs to track your in-app behavior.
• DOES NOT display advertisements or integrate any ad networks.
• DOES NOT share, sell, or distribute your data to data brokers or third parties.

5. Payments and Donations (In-App Purchases)

All FrugalFlow features are completely free and available without any paywalls. The App only includes voluntary options to financially support the developer (“Buy me a coffee”). These transactions are processed entirely and securely through the official Google Play Billing system. The developer does not receive, process, or have access to your credit card information or other payment details.

6. Data Security

Because FrugalFlow stores data strictly on your physical device and your personal servers, the security of this data relies directly on the measures you take to protect your device (e.g., setting a device PIN, password, or using biometric authentication).

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy as the App evolves, but our fundamental commitment to privacy and our “offline-first” architecture will never change. Any modifications will be updated on this page.
